You could put a golf ball through this hole. But, now it’s patched securely and blends in well. This type of repair is done by hand and will last for years to come. Price varies by size of hole, but typically ranges from $20 – $40. Contact me for free estimates. I have a video showing you exactly how I made this one of a kind patch over a cluster of moth holes on this wool running shirt. It’s also outlined in reflective thread, so it lights up at night, making it stand out and increases safety. The price is similar to the patch above typically $20 -$40 depending the size of the hole or number of holes. To add an outline or other details in reflective thread prices start around $5.

You got a broken zipper?
I can fix it!
Even if it is on your hydration pack and it won’t fit on a sewing machine. I have video tutorials on replacing zippers by hand (without a sewing machine) and another video using a sewing machine and serger to fix a pocket zipper. Regular alterations shops won’t touch projects they have to do by hand. And, I would be worried if they did. I know how much that pack cost, let’s keep it out of the landfill and save you some money. I typically charge around $40 to replace a zipper on a pack or jacket, and I give free estimates, contact me.

My client was frustrated by items falling out of the middle pocket of his pack. He stopped trying to use that pocket.
During our free consultation:
- I listened to what he wanted
- We brainstormed together
- Then I went home and engineered a custom cinch topper
- I hand stitched it onto the pack (both left and right sides)
- It looked like it always belonged there
- For $40, my happy client has a custom pack that fits his needs and he goes on to finish multiple ultras (including Western States 2026)

I’m a runner, I understand the agony of stepping in the shower when a seam has been rubbing! A better fit and a smoother seam can make a world of difference and prevent significant pain.
This pack had a rough edge the hit my clients neck if she wore a tank top. So her pack left her neck red and raw on long summer runs unless she was careful to tuck a bandana in around her neck, which would ultimately fall out. We fixed her issue for about $25 and hand stitched a soft decorative border around the neck opening of her pack. She’s completed many an ultra with this fix and hasn’t been chafed since.
Need a pocket? Add one!
Adding pockets starts at $40 for one pocket, and $60 for 2 pockets, but it takes an item you never wear and turns it into your favorite jacket, it is a game changer for your gear.
Pockets can be added to jackets, shorts or to almost anything else that needs one. Consultations are free.

I have extremely reasonable rates, but I need to see your project and talk to you about it, that’s why I go to so many meet ups, races and limit my service area to the Sacramento to Auburn area. I’m part of the community and I realize how under served we are.
