Welcome Home

An aid station is like a home page, it gets you ready to tackle your mission and achieve your goals
Getting to an aid station can feel like coming home.

Achievement repair and gear is here to help the trail and ultra running community achieve their goals with custom sewing. We repair, modify and customize running clothes and gear. We understand the unique needs of the ultra runner and we focus on sustainability.

Now open for business!

  • I am based in the Carmichael / Fair Oaks area of Northern California, and provide personalized service to the trail runners from Sacramento to Auburn California. I work by appointment only, and frequently meet clients on the trail, see the Where to find me page to see where we will be this week or the Contact us page to set up a consultation. I’m surprisingly affordable and consultations are free.

Services:

I focus on: zippers, pockets, holes, secure storage, custom modifications, and repairs on technical fabrics.

  • Please head to our Services pages for information on what types of projects I like to take on; and our project gallery of before and after photos.

Project Gallery

  • I’m constantly adding photos of projects, before and after. Scroll through the section, I post the good, the bad and the ugly; I strive for transparency.

Where to Find Me:

  • The Where to find me page is where I plan to be on the trail this week. These are aid stations, expos, or meet up groups that I will be attending. These group events are a way to introduce ourselves, and an informal way to start the conversation about what I can do for you. Consultations are free, if I can walk you through doing your own repair that’s empowering to both of us!
  • Please reach out and let me know to look for you if you’re dropping by to a meet up group. Life happens and I don’t want to miss you if I’m running late. Text me @ 916-467-5008
  • If I’m volunteering, the runners come first, so make an appointment so we can meet before or after my shift and I can devote my full attention to your project.

Video Tutorials:

  • Watch me demonstrate my services and I teach you how to do it yourself. By going to Video Tutorials the pages on this site, you can watch the videos and get extra information and photos. Or, you can go to YouTube directly and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
  • Currently I have two play lists: 1. Zippers, Pockets, Holes and 2. Up-cycling your old running gear. I’m uploading videos frequently. Please subscribe to my YouTube Channel it really does help me grow my business. FYI the channel name is Achievement Repair and Gear and I’m @AchievementLinda on YouTube, I would love to grow that community.

Contact us and Feedback

  • I would love your feedback and consultations are free. Contact Us links you to my contact information. You can also leave comments in Suggestions. And rest assured, I will never sell your information and don’t have time to be spamming you, we both have better things to be doing.

Products:

  • Currently I am collaborating with Heidi Garner and I make her regular gaiters and zipper gaiters Click for more information on those products including laundry, wear instructions and sourcing information.
  • Additional products are coming soon – check back soon.

Blog Hub:

  • I’ve separated the Blog into three categories: Sustainability – which will have environmental and up-cycling topics; Related to fibers – textiles and laundry topics will go here; and The Process – will be about building the business, the website, and more. It’s all organized on the Blog Hub page. Each blog contains short reads on topics I find interesting. More content will be added as I get time, the blogs have been a low priority during this launch period.
