Photos of projects I’ve done.

Mending little holes:

Sewing bigger holes:

Patches or appliqué over large holes:

I outlined the hearts with reflective thread for a one of a kind distinctive look, which can be spotted at night from a distance.

My tights: Before; Inside after mending; Outside after mending (you should see my knee – this one hurt).

This rain jacket didn’t have any pockets, I added these.

Things kept falling out of the pocket, so I designed and added a cinch topper which solved the problem.

My first AR 50 jacket from 2013, but it didn’t have pockets.

Sewing Heidi Garner gaiters and zipper gaiters. I cut them out, and sew them by hand. I source the most sustainable materials I can find too, see the Heidi Garner gaiter page for more information. You can purchase them on Heidi’s site.

Little fixes make big differences. I hand stitched the fabric around the neck and got rid of the chafing issue.

A large rip in a favorite pair of running shorts.

These were her favorite shorts, so we repaired them with hearts.

A patch being securely stitched in place in a decorative style over a large rip in running shorts.
The mended shorts, the hearts are subtle, but add a decorative flare.

Stitching a ripped pocket on the sewing machine
The zipper portion of the pocket was ripping out, so it was secured into place.
The finished repair on a zipper pocket that had ripped out.

A rip in a pair of shorts

Favorite shorts can be mended and worn for years, this is not invisible, but it is durable and functional.

Stitching up the hole in the back of the shorts.

The zippers fixed on a pack

This pack had lost the zipper pull on the right and the left was ripping out in the same way. I was able to put the zipper pull back on, add metal zipper stops to prevent losing the pull again and was able to stitch the fabric back down on both ends of both pockets.

By saving the zipper pull and making sure I had it, it saved me significant time and saved the client money since I did not have to replace the entire zipper.

More photos coming soon.
