Mission / Vision / Values

Mission:

Achievement Repair and Gear’s mission is to repair your running gear and keep it out of the landfill, but when it’s time for new gear, we customize it to match your goals and make it flexible to adapt to new challenges. We make responsible choices and responsible gear.

Vision:

We repair running gear and clothing and offer products that cater to the ultra and trail running community. Starting out, repairs and alterations are going to be our primary objective. This reduces our overhead and allows us to continue researching product development. The goal is to develop products that are not found in the general marketplace. Plans include a customizable hydration pack systems where the client is fitted with an adjustable vest and then they can customize pockets and features to meet their needs and these features can be changed out as needs change. I would also like to work on developing gear specific for running in the heat. Additional products are anticipated based on market research. Eventually products will be sold to individuals at our pop-up locations and will be available online through our website. We are going to limit our repair and alteration work to the local running community in Norther California (Sacramento to Auburn) so I can provided personalized service.  I hope to set up a pop-up tent at local races to meet runners personally and visit meet up groups as I am able to. I will try to create a blog to explore topics that I am learning about from environmental impact of textiles to getting the skink out of your gear and other laundry tips; from free patterns to make with your old gear, to videos of my sewing and design process.

Values:

I want to create a business that supports the ultra and trail running community. Our tag line is “we make responsible choices and responsible gear.” I want to research ways we can make a difference and reduce our environmental footprint without greenwashing. I want to be an ethical human being. Profits will not be placed above people or doing the right thing.

I do reserve the right to decline doing business with anyone for any reason, but I will never discriminate regarding: age, sex, gender identity, race, ethnicity, physical size, VO2 Max, training status, or even if you like to just run roads.
